Raphael crop panel

I have made an editor with Raphael. The customer can design the panel and the svg-file will be send to the company.

For now everything works. The only problem I have, is when I open the .svg file in Adobe Illustrator. I only want to see the part of the objects that are ON the panel. Now I see the panel (has the size i want) but AI also shows everything outside the panel.

What do I do in javascript to crop the image on the panel?
